In an age when so many places feel like they’ve left the best of the past behind, Tuckahoe District, a small community in Richmond, VA holds fast. That’s why we brought this to life— to give a name to what already existed, celebrate the roots that connect us and the every day magic that shapes our families, and to invite anyone who calls this place home to take part in the story.

Recognizing the depth of story already alive in Tuckahoe, Corling brought this layered history and everyday magic to life through what we call brand maximalism—a richly expressive visual system built from hand-drawn illustrations, a collection of bespoke marks, and carefully curated historical photography.

Rather than distilling Tuckahoe into a single symbol, we created a living brand ecosystem that mirrors the depth of the community itself: screen porches instead of screens, bikes left in driveways until dinner, neighbors waving from golf carts, and families returning to the same streets they once called home. Each visual element works together to tell a fuller story—one that honors the past, celebrates the present, and invites everyone who calls Tuckahoe home to see themselves in it.

Celebrating a neighborhood defined by something deeper than geography.

So that for generations to come, when someone asks where in Richmond you’re from, you can answer with a single word that carries the tale of centuries: Tuckahoe.

“I remember the first day I dropped Matt off at kindergarten I thought ‘This will be a unique experience-taking my son to the same elementary school I went to.’ But when I got there, there were five others I graduated with doing the same thing."
