why we’re here

We started Corling because we believe businesses deserve great brand & marketing strategy, no matter their size.

Just because you’re not Nike, Patagonia or Starbucks (yet) doesn’t mean you have to settle for sub-par marketing + brand strategy. We want you to leave our time together knowing that when you spend money on your marketing strategy, it will be the right thing for your audience and your budget right now, and poised for growth into who you want to become.

who we are

Hailing from the film industry, we believe a seasoned executive producer can bring together a brand’s whole picture.

Corling’s Founder Genevieve Embler spent the first decade of her career architecting engagement and marketing strategies that helped film studios leave a deeper impact on their audiences. What she has come to realize is that films are just mini-brands confined to a screen.

There are always stories to be told, and the best stories invite people to play a part in them.

Brands live at this intersection.

Meet the Team

  • Founder & Lead Strategist

Genevieve spent the first decade of her career in the film industry, helping architect engagement strategies that allowed the powerful stories within the films to have a deeper impact on their audiences. Now, she applies those same concepts to the impact a brand’s story—and how it chooses to involve its audience (or not—can have on the world.

While Genevieve loves developing the brand and marketing strategies from the ground up, she equally loves executing them. Which is exactly why she considers herself an "executive producer" for brands’ and organizations’ stories.

From the visual to the practical, Genevieve guides the project from early development to a cohesive, powerful conclusion for engagement with your target audience.

  • Creative Director

Bridgit comes to Corling with years of strategy, branding and design prowess. She has built and launched brands—internationally and locally, big and small—and is known for her fresh thinking and expert execution.

Bridgit approaches every project with longevity in mind. From the initial brand strategy to the finishing touches on packaging, print collateral or a website, she maintains high standards and stays loyal to the client’s goals. The end result is a unique, one-of-a-kind solution that sets each and every one of our clients apart in ways that pay tribute to the heart and soul of their brands.

  • Operations Director

Kate previously served as the Marketing Director for Virginia Women's Center where she was responsible for the marketing and communications for 60+ health care providers at six different offices. While her responsibilities included everything from tv commercials, print ads, employee relations and office signage, she most enjoyed educating and communicating with women, arming them with health care knowledge throughout the spectrum of their lives. Kate's most recent career-stint is being Mom to three young and energetic boys. While laundry stains and bandaids are still an ever-present part of her day, her time as as a stay-at-home mom taught her skills of managing chaos and multi-tasking have demonstrated she can handle anything a Corling client throws her way.

  • Account Executive

With over a decade of diverse experience in human resources, marketing, project management, and digital learning, Emily brings to Corling a deep understanding of client needs with a particular focus on enhancing their culture through employee focus. Her empathetic nature drives her to find harmonious solutions for the whole team, a skill honed during her tenure at EAB, where she improved project deployment timelines and grew her emotional intelligence through HR support.

With a degree in Fashion Merchandising, her creative spirit deeply enriches her approach to project management, where she enjoys seeing the correlation between detail and final product. In recent years, Emily's time as a stay-at-home mom of 2 was the ultimate test of her skills and she feels strongly that it's made her better equipped to multi-task and manage emotions as she returns to her role of supporting clients and teams.

What does corling mean?

As the middle name of our founder, her grandmother before her, and now her daughter, Corling draws upon connections from deeper in time and points to legacies yet to be made. We knew this name would mean something to us no matter how the world or times around us change.

Our crest is based on a family heirloom painting, which is now hanging in Genevieve’s home.
