When Mi-Case came to us, they were the industry leaders. They knew. We knew it.
It’s just that their industry didn’t know it, yet. And while one of their major sources of revenue happens to be in public safety and corrections, they were an innovative technology company–not to be confused with prison jumpsuits or barbed wire.

Branding for innovative technology in a niche industry.
While their digital solutions happened to serve the public safety industry, Mi-Case understood they were a technology first company. As we pursued fresh branding, they wanted a look and feel that would speak to their customers while retaining their core identity. They had also recently merged with another division as they split from their parent company Orange.
Having more than one division facing multiple customer bases, we established a sub-brand hierarchy that accommodates all facets of existing business, as well as stands ready to grow towards new products and industries they will serve in years to come.
The result was to create a corporate, parent brand that would stay static and unite all sides of business from a culture and messaging perspective.
INDUSTRY REVOLUTIONIZING NARRATIVE
Most importantly—establishing their narrative ended up changing the entire conversation for their industry.
What we worked to uncover was that while failed software implementations were rampant amongst their customer base, Mi-Case stood apart with a flawless record. They had a proven, transparent approach built through experience and dedication.
With millions of dollars and years of headache at stake for each potential customer, we were able to bring successful implementation front and center in the industry’s conversation. While competitors may have a bell or whistle they can show off, none of those software components matter if the customer is left with a product that could not be implemented.
Within one year, Mi-Case was awarded a large state contract.
What happened next is the key to industry transformation.
Celebrating their industry rise by first celebrating their community.
While Mi-Case has emerged as the leading provider of software in their niche industry, it was clear to them it was not an achievement they make alone, but alongside their partners.
When tasked with generating their latest animated trade show video, we knew that it not only needed to celebrate their themes of client partnership—but it also needed to reflect where that partnership will take the industry in the future if it remains focused on collaboration—not competition.
Building on their new brand look and feel—and in a huge departure from their 2023 animated trade show video—together, with Studio Flatland, we produced our favorite video to date. With a nod to the futuristic lens through which they view their work, Mi-Case debuted this in front of all industry partners at their 2024 trade show.

How might your narrative transform an industry?
Because our brand narrative development is rooted in who you know yourselves to be — not some catchy slogan we make up —you are guaranteed to deliver on the promises of your story. The reason Mi-Case has catapulted to success is because we tapped into something we knew existed at the core of who they were.
